Project EDWARD comes to Fenland

#ProjectEDWARD comes to March, Fenland this September, 22nd.

The Vision Zero Partnership will be holding a Road Safety Day of Action for Project EDWARD (Every Day Without A Road Death) on Thursday 22nd September to raise awareness of road safety.

Project EDWARD is the biggest national platform for raising road safety awareness. Every year they run a Week of Action, and this year we are holding our Day of Action in March, Cambridgeshire on Thursday 22nd September between 10am and 2pm in the market square.

Residents and visitors will have the ability to speak with a variety of road safety partners including

  • Alconbury Driving Centre
  • British Horse Society
  • Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Fire and Rescue
  • Cambridgeshire Constabulary
  • Fenland Community Safety Partnership
  • In Car Safety Centre
  • Magpas Air Ambulance
  • Peterborough and Cambridgeshire Advanced Motorcyclists
  • RHA
  • Road Victims Trust
  • Shamir UK LTD
  • Speedwatch
  • Woodgreen Animal Charity
  • There will also be the opportunity to get free bike serving and use a smoothie bike from Outspoken Cycles.

Project EDWARD is an annual UK-wide road safety campaign with the long-term goal of a road traffic system free from death and serious injury. The theme for Project EDWARD 2022 is ‘Changing Minds, Changing Behaviour’. Through this event we hope raise awareness and engage communities in relevant road safety and community safety messages.

There will be increased road enforcement from the Special Constabulary and lots of free activities for local residents to enjoy.
