Case study - Road Victims' Trust
Each year on average 40 people die as a result of road collisions on Cambridgeshire’s roads. The need to provide effective, personal support to those affected by death or life changing injuries resulting from road collisions is a significant issue.
The provision of specialist emotional and practical support that is needed by victims following the collision is often lacking and the Road Victims Trust (RVT) fills the gap by providing support to the bereaved, those involved and witnesses to the collision.
Cambridgeshire Constabulary area has been involved in the scheme since 2013.
